Import candidates into ET
Have the ability to import candidates in a CSV file. This is helpful for in-person exams where some candidates will take electronic exams and some will take paper exams.

Richard Bateman AdminWhy would you not still have the paper exam applicants register as usual? Also, if you're doing paper why not use GradeCam so it's still graded electronically?

Heather KM6ZQBAdd the ability to import a CSV file of applicants as in the same formate which we export them. If that was possible, we could export applicants from one session into another to combine or move applicants. And yes, it would allow another method to register them.

Shane AH2EJLooking at this as an import option as well... This is a request from the Hawaii folks as they want to still use their registration page and import into ET. This could also be useful for folks who do big sessions and want to do prior registration outside of ET. This also would sill allow a relationship with the club and local members.

Grant BaronI do know the Hawaii folks don’t do USPS validation, so it does put a very different spin on things as we can’t really verify the address

n2ygkNo reason the addresses still can't be validated on import or just not care; If the addresses are not USPS-verfied, that doesn't break using ET to administer the exam, but one would also need to export the assigned PINs. It turns out there's a simple POST of a JSON document that one could script externally from ExamTools (just click on the manual add applicant in ET) that does what's needed. Just one more reason to "publish" the API: allow people to customize their processes without requiring it all to be implemented by Richard &co.
