Add ability to hide the session listings from a particular team
As you know, I am on many teams and most likely more than any one VE should be on. However, it would be helpful (maybe only to me) to have the ability to hide some session listings from displaying. I may be on the team as a back-up team lead, have some sort of admin role, tech support, collecting stats, help only when they have a big session or that is just the way that some of the teams do it. I do not want to always be begging them to not add me to a team or have to leave once joined. Yes, I know that the lead is not exactly using the feature as it was originally intended, but adding every single VE to their Exam Tools Team seems to really work very well for them and just not for me. I don't want to leave their team, as it seems to just make it more difficult for me to know when their sessions are as they rely so much on it for scheduling their VEs. Just need an option to click that would mute or hide a team's listings. Thank you! -Heather KM6ZQB

AG6ZZAdding every VE to every session is poor Team Lead practice. The teams in which I participate send out a request for VEs about a week before each session. Only those who reply saying they intend to participate get added to a session. Therefore, only sessions in which VEs have agreed to participate see such sessions. Also, the Team Leads know accurately which VEs will actually show up. Adding every VE to every session means the Team Lead has no idea which VEs, if any, will show up. Not knowing means that only VEs who hold a General license might show up, and it will be too late to appeal to the Extra license VEs for General and Extra exams once the session has started.
If this feature is added, VEs will sometimes mute sessions for which Team Leads are depending on them to participate. This would not serve anyone in any meaningful way.
Perhaps the author of this request should ask Team Leads to only add VEs to sessions in which they explicitly say they’ll participate.
