Turning off Authorize as Volunteer Examiner for some types of sessions
It can be nice to be able to flip off the option for Authorize as Volunteer Examiner for sessions that don't want to use it.

Richard BatemanCan you clarify the specific use case for this? is it solving a specific problem?

Grant BaronI just feel for some sessions it can be distracting to the candidate especially candidates new to tier 2.

Richard Batemanwill have to think about it. At some point I'll need to create a "session options" dialog for misc things like this. The trickiest thing is just that the more options I make available, the easier it is for things to get confused

CJRather than turn it off entirely, just hide it so that you can only access it if you know what you're looking for. Perhaps put a clickable pi symbol in the corner, lol

Nick N1CCKIn-person, that would need to be there. In remote, I don’t find it distracting as long as the VE leading the exam is walking the candidate through what is actually happening.

Grant BaronI just feel that we would get that one tigger happy candidate thinking hes helping the VE by clicking that.

Nick N1CCKThey’re welcome to. It doesn’t do anything other than pop up an authorization box. Authorization can still happen in any of the alternate places.

Chris FlinnMaybe have that toggle based off online or address in the session creation page? That way it’s there for in person and not for online.

Richard BatemanThat's certainly a possibility; I'm trying to think if there is any reasonable time when you might actually need the functionality for an online exam. I think probably you don't, but maybe if you were using a remote proctor? Probably still not.
